The European Society of Cardiologists
(ESC) aims to improve the prevention
and treatment of heart disease, and holds the largest annual congress of cardiology medical professionals in the world.
The Sound Agency was chosen to create an overarching
sonic identity for their already established visual brand, and implement it at ESC’s
events to improve experience and brand
recognition, and engaged JPML to create ESC's sonic logo, core brand music and event soundscapes.
We visited ESC’s Nice headquarters to crowdsource initial sonic directions with their core team, to lay the foundations for a new sonic logo alongside the brand. When complete, this sound became the central DNA of a new audio identity: its rhythm replicates a human heartbeat, while its melody and harmonies are clear, strong and uplifting – just like ESC’s visual brand.
The result was a conference that stood out for its innovation,
creativity and consideration of delegates’
comfort and energy levels - the
first major conference and exhibition
that has utilised designed sound.
